Expertise: Economics - U.S., Consumer Markets
Christopher is a Senior Principal Economist, responsible for consumer-driven aspects of the U.S. Economy. He tracks and forecasts personal consumption expenditures, retail sales, and consumer confidence indices. Christopher has over nineteen years of professional experience as an economist and econometrician. Prior to joining IHS, Christopher has worked for FedEx Forecasting Department, O.I.T., Regional Economic Models Inc. (REMI), New York Legislative Tax Study Commission, and several colleges. Christopher has taught various undergraduate and graduate courses in economics and business. He has a Ph. D. in economics from the University at Albany with concentrations in Game Theory, Econometrics, Industrial Organization, and Computable General Equilibrium Models. He has several academic publications and has written articles and opinion pieces for the mass media and trade journals.
