Expertise: Economics - U.S.
Daco is a Senior Principal Economist in the U.S. Macroeconomics Group. His primary responsibility is to track and forecast the international trade and government sectors using IHS Global Insight's U.S. Macroeconomic Model. Daco is also responsible for developing monthly alternative scenarios for the short- and medium-term forecasts. His expertise in the US economy includes government policy, international trade, as well as monetary policy.
Daco is cited frequently in leading business publications such as the Financial Times, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He also regularly appears on radio and television programs.
Prior to joining IHS in 2008, Daco worked in the economic affairs department of the Belgian Embassy in Australia and Switzerland. He holds a Master of Arts in economics from Boston University, and a Master in Business Administration from Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
